The Sculpting…

The course is an introduction to life modelling. It will not presume any previous knowledge. Working from life within a small group, you will explore the techniques involved in sculpting a full figure in clay, learning aspects of:

• Measuring and proportion
• "Scaling down"
• Creating the armature (if necessary)
• “Fleshing out” the sculpture
• Analysing shapes and volumes
• Understanding anatomy
• Use of sculpture tools
• Modelling the figure
• Finalising the sculpture

The Course…

• FREE trial class to get your hands dirty!
• Small groups open to both beginners and experienced sculptors alike
• Male or female model
• Trilingual teacher: English, Italian, French
• Courses last for approximately five weeks and are renewable all year round to acquire a deeper understanding of the subject

The Studio…

• Fully equipped with professional sculpting equipment
• Studio near Piramide, Rome
• Public transport metro, trains, buses and easy parking
• Air conditioning
• Kiln to fire terracotta sculpture onsite

Does Not Include:

• Firing fees
• Beverages
• special materials like wax

Advantages:

• Bonus for bringing new clients
• “Carnet” or voucher system: the more vouchers you buy in advance, the less you pay per lesson (see Pricing Structure)
• Use your vouchers as you wish within a certain time limit
• Flexibility to miss a certain number of classes
  (depending on time limit of your vouchers – see below)
• Sell your vouchers to other students if you can't use them (time limit still applies)
